IT Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT Helpdesk team, working with internal and external stakeholders to provide effective and efficient support to resolve enquiries from end users
  • Oversee the company’s hardware and software asset strategy and lifecycle to ensure up to date technologies are delivered in a cost effective manner
  • Oversee installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
  • Oversee technologies being deployed across company sites
  • Oversee control of user access, roles & permissions, ensuring all users have the right level of access at the right time
  • Monitor user requests and health of company’s hardware and software, providing feedback and formulating an enhancement roadmap to address prioritized issues
  • Maintain and optimize company’s network, servers, and infrastructure
  • Ensure technology and data is handled in a secure way, and in accordance to industry best practice, regulatory requirements, and company policy & procedures
  • Ensure business continuity through preemptive measures, ongoing maintenance, business continuity plans and disaster recovery drills

 

Education/Qualification/Experience:

  • Proven experience in maintaining IT helpdesk and managing IT Operations
  • Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis
  • Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing
  • Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR)
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT or relevant field

  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Self motivated, energetic, dynamic yet tactful, able to work with various stakeholders on driving the project meeting within deadlines
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese is required
